I haven't been on here in quite awhile because I have been busy trying to make cards to sell on ebay also known as ACEOs. I've also been spending alot of time trying to come up with a logo for my artwork. Here's my logo. Eventually I'll incorporate it into my banner.
I really like the idea of small pocket art. There is so much you can do with it. You can get different size frames with ATC size windows in the matte. You can make scrapbooks and arrange your art in neat little collections on the pages. You can buy acrylic pen and paintbrush holders and decorate all four sides with your art. You can buy magnetic frame holders and decorate your fridge. You can even get those cool Christmas card holders and use the holders to display your art. And the best part about these little pocket size art cards is that you can easily put them away in a box in case you have to move or you are tired of looking at the same ones.
Right now I have several paintings with nice frames and glass covers that are quite large but since I moved to this apartment, I don't really have any wall space to display them. So they sit covered up on a shelf taking space in my closet. Large art is also a pain to hang up anyway. I can never get them balanced on the wall and I end up making many holes in the wall.
Creating art cards works much better in my life too. Since I work full time I don't have much time to spend on a large painting. I also don't have the space! I get a great sense of accomplishment because I'm able to finish many small paintings. My art supplies to make the cards don't take alot of room either. Right now I've made more than 265 cards....I say more than, because I didn't number all the ones I made when I first started creating the cards back in 2005.
